During a 14-year playing career, Connie Selby rose to be the captain of the Australian Women’s team in 1978 in the first 'B' internationals.
That same year, Selby was selected in the All Star team at the first Women’s World Tournament in Taiwan.
She went on to play 10 matches for Australia.
Selby’s subsequent coaching career has taken her to Queensland and New South Wales, and led to appointments with the Australian senior and youth teams and state and club positions.
