Sure, you could try baking the crust and filling separately, but there is not necessarily a need to. Reducing the oven temperature after 15 minutes bakes everything up perfectly! The pie needs to cool completely before serving so making it the night before is ideal. You can absolutely use this crust for other pies! We have an Apple Crumb Pie on the blog too!

A few questions for you: Would it be better to bake the crust first at 425 and then cook it with the filling at 350? Could I make this the night before or is it better to make it and eat it same day?
